Account Manager Jobs in Wisconsin

An Account Manager in the banking industry is essentially responsible for managing relationships with specific customers for the bank. They are in charge of a portfolio of clients and their duties include growing and retaining existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients. They work closely with various business departments to maintain and increase client satisfaction. They also monitor the profit, loss, and liabilities of every client and ensure timely payment of loans and other financial obligations. Account Managers often set targets and then plan and initiate ways to meet those targets as well.

Key skills for this position include excellent communication and negotiation skills, proficiency in sales, customer service, and account management. They should also be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Relevant certifications such as Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA), Certified Bank Auditor (CBA), or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) are often preferred. Prior roles that could lead to a position as an Account Manager could be customer service representative, sales representative, or credit analyst in the banking industry.
