Loan Originator Jobs in Louisville, KY
A Loan Originator, also known as a mortgage loan officer, plays an essential role in the banking industry. Their primary role is to solicit new business and originate new loan applications for the bank or lending institution. They need strong analytical skills to accurately evaluate financial information and make informed decisions. Loan originators should also be familiar with industry regulations and lending programs. Some important certifications for a loan originator include Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license, which requires passing the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) exam. Before becoming a loan originator, one might have roles such as a loan processor, a bank teller, or a sales representative in a financial institution.
