A Credit Relations Manager in the banking industry primarily manages the relationships with the bank's credit customers, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty. They appraise credit requests, make credit granting decisions, manage and monitor credit portfolios, and implement strategies to mitigate credit risk. For this role, strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills are essential. Customer service skills and a deep understanding of credit risk analysis and credit management practices are also critical. A professional may also need certifications such as the Certified Credit Professional (CCP) or Credit Business Associate (CBA).
