The Vice President of Finance will lead the finance, accounting and related teams including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and will be responsible for the timely producing financial and operational results that provide meaningful insight to executive and divisional leadership while producing actionable reporting for the project leadership community. In addition, the Vice President will be responsible for partnering with the CFO and Divisional Leadership to develop a project controls organization to support the entire organization. The Vice President must have a strong background in project accounting with experience in work-in-progress reporting as it relates to Lump Sum and T&M projects. A preference for those who have experience in construction and/or industrial services will be made. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Financial Operations: Responsible for the organization's financial operations including financial management and policies, financial planning and analysis, project controls, developing and maintaining appropriate fiscal controls and standards, and preparing and interpreting financial reports Financial Reporting: Coordinate the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly reports including multi-entity roll-up and consolidation with Controller and Accounting Department Business Partnership: Operate as a key business partner and work collaboratively with other sector functions Financial Planning & Analysis: Accountable for the timely appraisal of operating results in terms of costs, budgets, and policies of operations, trends, and increased profit opportunities; gather financial data for analysis and forecasting with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the finance and accounting teams; Lead, mentor, develop, and retain top talent. Ensure the functional finance team is optimally structured, trained, supported and aligned to deliver work with maximum impact. Accounting Oversight: Oversee all sides of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and tax preparation Project Controls: Develop a project controls framework to provide real-time data analysis to project managers on their budget vs. actual to prevent cost over-runs and provide insight into when to change orders, budget adjustments or schedule adjustments are necessary Policy Development : In conjunction with Controller, create and maintain policies for accounting, cash management, and tax administration Operational Efficiencies : Identify and implement ways to improve operational and cost efficiencies Program Evaluation : Evaluate and improve programs for fiscal, logistics, and other services Compliance : Ensure the company complies with tax laws and regulations Key Qualifications A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration Five to ten years of managerial experience Background in construction and/or industrial services accounting and finance Experience in data analysis using tools such as PowerBI and other reporting tools Certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CMA Analytical skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking Excellent oral and written communication skills B&E Resources is an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment.
